What are your thoughts on piracy?

I might get a lot of sticks for saying this but I consider piracy as a necessary evil. Yes, it's unethical and you're actually stealing the money which artists deserve. I am against those people who can afford to buy an original copy of the media but won't do it because they are miser and stingy. read more

Piracy’s a pretty important issue. Making movies, developing video games, etc.— they take a lot of money. A lot of people pour their hearts into their work, and thanks to that we get a lot of really great and exciting results. Those people should be properly paid for their efforts, and often piracy can prevent that. read more

The issue with crackdowns on piracy is that they throw all the eggs into the same basket, when theres actually two different 'types' of piracy, which i will refer to as ethical and unethical. read more

Bands should not HAVE to tour, just pay the thousand$ and hundred$ of thousand$ it cost$ to record, a lot of bands don't tour as much, it's hard work, living on the road, you have no life, why should they HAVE to tour for 10 months, just to support your habit of stealing. read more
