What bands were directly influenced by Nirvana?

Not as many of the big ones as you would think. Nirvana reached big popularity in 1991 with the album Nevermind. Pearl Jam also made it big in 1991 with the album Ten, but that was released a little before Nevermind. Meat Puppets - also had some influence on the band. As you know Nirvana performed three of their songs - Oh Me, Plateau, & Lake of Fire during MTV Unplugged. R.E.M. - Stripe was always a friend of Kurt. Both were influenced by each other's songs.
