There are many very interesting and very good jazz covers. John Scofield does a great "I Will," Herbie Hancock does an interesting "Norwegian Wood," I've heard that Mark Turner has a great cover of "She Said, She Said" (but I haven't heard it yet). read more

Al Di Meola has an entire album of Beatles covers, which I can't say I love as much as the Bill Frisell album, but which is worth hearing.
