What causes a friendly playful pit bull to suddenly attack?

Never leave pit bulls alone with other dogs (or any animal). Even if you're dog gets along great 99.9% of the time with other animals the Pit Bull is known for animal aggression and it is possible something will happen. And it also must be mentioned that the pit bull doesn’t necessarily have to be the instigator of the attack. It could be the Chihuahua in the group. It is also possible that the pit bull could come to the defense of one member of it’s pack, but because of its strength, be blamed for the attack when it really wasn’t the one that started it. read more
