The most common cause of orange tinted fingernails is wearing bright red, bright pink or coral nail polish for days on end without using a good base coat!! The dyes in the polish actually stain the nails. If this doesn't pertain to you, if you don't wear dark or bright polish and without base coat, then consult a physician. read more

There are other issues, some serious, that can cause YELLOWING of nails, such as lupus, jaundice, fungus. Ingesting too much carotene (yes, from carrots) has been identified as the cause of orange tinted skin-I would think nails also would turn color. read more
