What did Albania do to help Kosovo?

The refugees were housed succesfully. 500 000 out of 800 000 Kosovar Albanians that left Kosovo stayed in Albania until the war ended. Albania was willing to help NATO in any way when it intervened during the war. This made possible the building of an airport in North Albania close to Kosovo, which NATO airplanes used during the whole war period. read more

Public use of the Albanian language in Kosova (Albanian-language school education) was just as forbidden in the "first Yugoslavia" as it had been in the Ottoman empire. The brief reunification of Albania and Kosova under the auspices of fascist Italy during the second world war did bring some relief. read more
