What did Karl Marx say about gender?

In his main work - Das Kapital - Marx briefly discusses gender wage gap. He explains that in capitalism women earn less money because women are a marginalized group and are therefore easily exploited by the rich and powerful. Marx would probaly not argue that gender wage gap is caused by patriarchy like contemporary feminism would. read more
