A full grown lynx (especially larger types like the Eurasian lynx) will cause cats to run and hide. If an indoor cat just smells a lynx, it will likely start spraying the walls that run along the outside of the house. I have only come across one instance of a lynx (bobcat AKA Lynx rufus) mating with a domestic cat. read more
