Children in Cuba still spend outside what would be labeled as a neglectfull amount of time, the thing is that there was and there is no danger and you were always under the eye of neighbors and other adults who would know your family since cities are typically very small. read more
One example of what Cuban children do in their spare time: participate in some of the many after-school programmes in arts, physical education, sports, etc. My friends' son (around 8 years old) was learning jiu-jitsu. read more
