What do football head coaches do during games?

Too often people equate sports to war or battles, which I find wholly inappropriate. That said, to understand what a head coach does during a game, it might be helpful to think about what a general does during a battle. The coach is DEFINATELY a big part of the game, but most f the coaches work is done throughout the week leading up to the game. Kind of like a Sales Director - he can do a lot of things - buts it's on the Salesman as the individual to close the deal, and depending on good/bad the coach can "coach" him out of a bad and into a good situation. read more
