That's an interesting question. When I was tattooed at Auschwitz, I was stunned. But it was a day when I had lost my whole family. I had lost everything I knew up to that point. read more

People that are holocaust survivors, at least most of them have tattoos that were given to each prisoner so that they could be identified. I would think that it reminds them of the pain and misery of the time when they got it. I know if I were a holocaust survivor I would try to remove it because I wouldn't be able to bear the thought of the time. read more
