Law to Hobbes was simply an enforcement of this contract. This sounds like what we often think of as libertarianism. It is hard to read of Hobbes without also coming in contact with John Locke. Locke too believed in the social contract, but expanded on Hobbes’ ideas of governing such a society. read more
