What do otters taste like?

Not that great. It renders out a lot of fat, worse than a goose actually. A 40 pound guts out to about 20 pound of flesh. About a third of that is fat. The hide is tough too, so it's not as you could go for that crispy chicharones effect. read more

It tastes like ocean, minus the salt, with a hint of rusty copper and steak sauce. The texture, which is a big part of the experience, is a little like the white part of an overcooked fried egg, but a little less rubber band to it. read more
