I spend every summer in Finland and have numerous friends here. Most Finns are calm, educated, honest and independent. I particularly love the fact that Finns are quiet and respectful for those around them. read more

For example sauna or russian banya. Or Lapti, and etc etc. In fact ancient Russia (Slavic people) lived mixed with Finns in Russian nor-west. Many geographical names in Russia have Finish origin. Finland separated from Russia after 1917 Revolution and Lenin had approved that separation. read more

At the same time, there are many Russians living in Finland and they tend to be well assimilated. Many learn Finnish and are highly skilled professionals. Some may be married to Finns. They do not experience prejudice as frequently as other ethnic groups. read more
