I personally think that to say anything about Cuba, you should at least first live for a while in Cuba like a Cuban, you should share the financial and social problems. Foreign people and Cubans living abroad are always saying bad things about Cuba. They don't have the same problems or maybe never had them at all. read more
This being said, I do not think anybody could say anything about Cuba if they have never lived in Cuba like an average Cuban. Spaniards, for example, destroyed part of our history, massacred our indians and stole our resources during the 18 and 19 century. read more
In 1894 nearly 90 percent of Cuba's exports went to the United States, which in turn provided Cuba with 38 percent of its imports. That same year Spain took only 6 percent of Cuba's exports, providing it with just 35 percent of its imports. Clearly, Spain had ceased to be Cuba's economic metropolis. read more
