What does uranium taste like?

I am not entirely sure, but I think at least some of it has a yellow cake flavor. Why else would they call it yellow cake uranium? Okay, seriously though, it probably tastes a bit metallic, in its elemental form, and a bit salty in the form of uranium salts. read more

Recently mined and unprocessed, likely like that of dirt. Processed and refined, likely it would have a metallic taste. Any radioactivity wouldn’t alter the taste. read more

I don't know about uranium having a smell; I own some and have never detected any smell from it. However, what is remarkable is that Plutonium actually is said to have quite a distinctive and disagreeable smell to it. read more
