What festivals do Roman Catholics celebrate?

Easter and are two big feasts in the Catholic church. Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus. Before Easter there is Lent, a penitential season the begins with Ash Wednesday. The Catholic church has a lot of feasts and festivals. My own parish is dedicated to Saint Joseph and every year we celebrate it by collecting bread and pastry and rolls and taking it to the food banks in honor of St. Joseph. read more
