What H.P. Lovecraft story would make the best movie?

John Carpenter's In the Mouth of Madness is the best non-Lovecraft film that best captures the closest atmosphere of cosmic horror. The Dreams in the Witch House is a great short film, but a full length feature would really be great to address the dreams/dimensional visions of the protagonist. read more

I highly recommend The H.P. Lovecraft Omnibus 2: Dagon and Other Macabre Tales—not only because it contains the story Dagon—but because it's an essential Lovecraft that has many stories, including fragments, and his non-fiction piece Supernatural Horror in Literature. read more
