The rationing was so successful that during WWII people in Sweden lived the healthiest life ever. No sugar. Minimum fat. No starvation. No malnutrition. AND A lot of exercise. The exercise was caused by a lack of petrol. Private car owners did not receive gasoline to their cars. Busses where rare. Walking or biking were the options. read more
