In Louisiana, they spray for mosquitoes; either by airplane, or in the more urban areas, mosquito truck. In recent years, the poorer parishes have stopped airborne mosquito spraying. And the lightning bugs have made a resurgence. I haven't seen this many lightning bugs since the 1960's. read more
