In our state for the foster-adopt program the birthparents have 18 months to get ttheir act together & reclaim the child before they can be adopted, & it seems like they'd rather reunite them with the birth parents no matter what. I know of at least 2 cases of that happening in our county, & both happened right before the adoption was to be final. read more
