What happens once I flush the toilet?

The second purpose of the overflow tube, is to allow water to be directed into the bowl to refill the toilet bowl after a flush. As the tank fills, the water diverted through the tube and into the overflow will slowly refill the toilet bowl. read more

Even if it says “flushable” on the box, if it's not toilet paper, it should not be flushed. So what happens is all those baby wipes, and facial wipes, and Clorox bleach wipes and whatever makeup stuff that people flush – tampons, condoms, everything – it comes to the plant. read more
