Right now, everything that goes down the drain mixes together and goes to the same place, some parts of the world, straight into a body of water or on the ground, but where I live the water, clean or dirty, mixed with any other "stuff" that goes down any drain in the house goes from the drain through a system of pipes to a treatment plant where it is filtered and chemically treated to a point where a person could theoretically drink the cleaned water. read more
