There's also the fact that Martin Luther King Jr. was suffering from an advanced case of coronary heart disease and this may have affected any potential recovery. Given the type of wound he received and the level of trauma, it seems improbable that he could have survived if the gunshot had taken place inside a hospital ER itself and with trauma surgeons and nurses prepped for the event. read more
