The same way you'd build a dirt bmx track, just with smaller mounds for jumps. 1) Draw a course map first. 2) Map out where you want the course - turns, jumps and straights 3) Use a four-wheeler and drag a grate behind it to tear out the grass and 'sort of' roto till the top of the dirt. read more
Having access to your own RC track is a nice convenience. You can have friends over for your own events or you could use it to try out setup changes before heading to your local track. The track in my backyard is not very big, it can host about 4 1/10 scale cars comfortably, but it has really helped me with the tuning aspect of the RC hobby. read more
OUTDOOR DIRT OFF-ROAD OR OVAL If you are going to build a decent outdoor dirt track, you must find a usable spot of property that the layout can be allowed to remain set up on after use. You obviously cannot easily lane up a dirt track, build in jumps and other features and expect to be able to strip in down again daily. read more
