Horned frogs live in warm, humid climates throughout the Americas. The Amazon horned frog is found from Colombia to Brazil in the Amazon Basin. These frogs prefer freshwater marshes. The Argentine Horned Frog is historically found in Argentina and is now also found in Brazil and Uruguay. read more

Texas designated the Texas horned lizard (Phrynosoma cornutum) as the official state reptile in 1993 and the"TCU Horned Frog" is the mascot of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. TCU is the only known athletic team with the horned lizard as a mascot. read more
