Albania is known for other reasons too. It was the first country in the world to sanction atheism in the constitution (1976). It was the last country in Europe to get rid (albeit peacefully) of communist dictatorship — a particularly harsh one that even managed to fully isolate the country for over a decade (think North Korea, but in Europe and without nukes). read more
