Almost on point is a receipt (recipe) I saw in an old Plimoth Plantation cookbook for eating a Coot. Basically, it was heat a cauldron of water and throw in the cleaned coot and a brick. Boil for 24 hours. Throw away the coot and eat the brick. read more
