It's not too bad so long as you don't frequently venture out alone late at night. If you happen to be close to the UofC campus, there are campus police that patrol the area as well. read more
Obviously, the first thing to mention about Hyde Park is the University of Chicago, which is in the neighborhood. Being a 25 year old guy, I love stopping by as there are a number of people my age there, and some of my best friends in the city attend the school or live in Hyde Park. read more
Hyde Park is one of those neighborhoods in Chicago that feels like a community in and of itself--this is probably because it was once a suburb. Located just 6 miles from the heart of downtown, the hustle and bustle of the city is easily left behind. read more
