What is it like to live in St. Augustine, Florida?

Not only does it choose to let ships pass at the busiest times of the day — like 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. — but it also creates a super long line of traffic because guess what, it's a single lane both .... I have an office in Saint Augustine and Live in Palm Coast the next county south. I have been here my entire life and do not agree with some of what has been stated. Although I enjoy the republican elected official here Ron DeSantos. I think if you like very touristy towns Saint Augustine can not be beat. read more

God forbid St. Augustine ever got big from all of Henry Flagler’s work, because then it probably would have lost what it was – the oldest city, a small town, a beautiful example of early European settlements in Florida. read more

St. Augustine is an awful city to actually live in for anyone from children to retirees. Most of the suburbs, which make up nearly all of St. Augustine’s residential communities, are designed without sidewalks or anything vaguely resembling pedestrian friendliness. read more
