Simply put, Karl Marx was a philosopher who was dismayed with the way his world was headed, what with imperialism and mistreatment of industrial workers at its peak. As a reaction, he formulated an ideology that is commonly known as Communism or Socialism (there is a slight difference between the two!), but should ideally be called Marxism. read more
