You need to move south of suburbs, to find a place which is easy on pocket. Food, Education and Medical facilities are decent in both these cities. I found Delhi is a little better than Mumbai in terms of cost of living. Utilities - Mumbai has near 24 hrs water and Power supply, which I believe Delhi doesn’t. Mumbai hands down. read more
If work is in south Mumbai, for example, one can either spend a fortune on accomodation closeby or be subject to soul destroying train commutes everyday.In Delhi, on the other hand, one could rent something much closer to work at a much more reasonable cost, wherever work may be. read more
