Heroin has practical medical uses, and is no more dangerous than (and just as viable of) a painkiller as morphine, hydrocodone, oxycodone, etc. Cocaine technically is allowed to be used in certain types of nasal surgery, but this is an irrelevant vestige— there are now other drugs which are strictly better for this purpose. read more
