What is nightlife like in Fairbanks, Alaska?

Pretty lame - dominated by the military presence. In 2003-2006, when I was there Friday night was "North Pole" night, a USAF town, in which Soldiers from Ft. Wainwright would come in and eventually start a fight. read more

Fairbanks is like no other place I've ever been. The people are warm, welcoming and non-judgmental. I never had anyone call me names because of the way I was dressed until I lived in another state, and it was a little shocking. Like Cam said below, the general attitude is "we're all in this together". read more

Fairbanks Nightlife. Don't let the northernmost location fool you. Despite the generally snowy conditions and several dark months of the year, Alaska is a city that enjoys getting out and enjoying some unique nightlife destinations, no matter what the weather is like. read more
