There's no one right order in which to read the Books of the Bible but it does make sense to first understand God's central theme before reading harder ... Keep in mind that there will be some harder to read, more detailed parts, but having already read the books listed above, you have a better foundation. read more

Without cross referring Psalms, New Testament will not complete. Luke provides pre -history of Jesus Christ. Better to read Psalms first and then recheck wherever in the New Testament it is cross referred, then will get better picture. Do not read large amounts of the Bible in one setting. Take breaks often. Or stay with about 4-6 chapters a day. A good reading schedule is here. Start with the New Testament, people who start with the Old Testament almost never read the Bible all the way through. read more
