Crossbow is my preference since it can be situated near the portals in old one's army, though it is much better in events like the pumpkin and/or frost moon. P.s you can get loads and make a good and symmetrical base and place them wherever you want. read more

Each of the Tavernkeep's sentry summon weapons come in three tiers: Rod, Cane, and Staff; with the Staff being the most expensive and the most powerful. The armor he sells also associates each sentry type with a play class: Ballista with melee, Flameburst with magic, Explosive with rangers, and Lightning Aura (somewhat by default) with summoners (or speedy melee). read more
The Rod is sold by the Tavernkeep for 5 Defender Medals, the Cane for 25, and the Staff for 100. The Rod is always available. The Cane becomes available after defeating one Mechanical Boss, and the Staff becomes available after defeating Golem. read more
