What is the bright light next to the Crescent moon?

Assuming that you’re looking right now, on 1/31/2017 (or in the near vicinity) you’re most likely seeing Venus. Venus and Mars are both in conjunction (i.e., near in the sky) with the Moon tonight, but Mars is not as bright as Venus. read more
