I write this as an Orthadox Jew with Amish grandparents and cousins. The main simularity between amish and jewish people is that both groups are prone to wearing black and white. The is no correlation whatsoever between Jews and the Amish. There are many similarities between the Amish and Jewish fundamentalists. In fact, there are many similarities between all fundamentalist followers of any religion: clannishness, sectarianism, seclusion and self segregation from the non-believers and a set of cultish behavior to differentiate themselves from the world at large. read more
