What is the difference between the Rotary and Lions Club?

Rotary is the (slightly) older organization but both organizations have over a million people and tens of thousands of clubs around the world. I know that Rotarians are encouraged to visit other clubs while travelling and I assume that the Lions do the same thing. One minor difference is the number of meetings. read more

Rotary clubs turned to charitable works in the early 1940’s to assist with the War efforts, and expanded from there. Lion’s Club was founded as a charitable organization right from the start, when a group of businessman got together to pool their resources in helping their community. read more
