If “break” means “require replacement” then my vote for the most likely thing would be the battery. My battery’s capacity degraded to 66% (showing 8 of 12 possible bars on the battery capacity gauge). The battery was replaced under Nissan’s battery warranty. read more

The one thing that will have to be replaced at a normal rate is the tires. The Leaf won't do anything to slow down tire wear. It's also possible that something could go wrong with the car mechanically. However, that's the beauty of EVs. There is so much less that can go wrong with them and so many less wear-out items. read more
