Great Britain is a geographical area rather than a country. If you mean the United Kingdom, I believe both the Lion and the Unicorn appear on royal heraldry. The Barbary Lion and British Bulldog are symbols of England, though I think the Lion is the official national animal. The Lion appears on a lot of English heraldry. read more
