There is NO relation between Tamil and Sumerian. Tamil is a Dravidian language - no question. Sumerian is an isolate - no relation to any other known language. There is a theory floating around that there is an Elamo-Dravidian language family and that the Dravidian ancestors of Tamil were linked to Elamite. read more
