Fort Knox was at one time the headquarters of training for all US Armored forces. That headquarters has since moved to Fort Benning, GA. It is now headquarters for Army Reserve training. Fort Knox is a United States Army post in Kentucky south of Louisville and north of Elizabethtown. The 109,000 acre base covers parts of Bullitt, Hardin, and Meade counties.
