What is the video format that Vine uses on its app?

I don't work for Twitter, but I am open to the idea! More than likely, it is some kind of AVCHD, which too many people confuse with MP4 - which is Apple's proprietary codec/format. read more

Anyway, AVCHD/h.264 is so ubiquitous, that it's likely the one used to make transcoding and indexing into Vine as seamless as possible. I could be wrong, but I don't see any reason to fix what isn't broken, and do unnecessary R&D. read more
