Quality hip-hop has changed from story-telling to now talking about a club, f-ing women, and shooting up a neighborhood. Its been washed down to now being regarded as music. Hip Hop is the jazz of today. It is the natural progression from jazz to rhythm and blues to soul to funk to hip hop. There is a lot of poor quality hip hop on the radio and it saturates the genre in most people's minds.
