I havent read all of his work, but as far as Johannathon Livingston Seagull goes... The idea that Richard has presented is that no matter what, self belief is important. But I believe Illusions is the better book, mostly because it Bach explains his ideas to a fuller extent in that book. Also, Illusions is more in accordance with what I believe myself. But still, I wouldn't recommend Illusions as the first Bach book to read. read more
My favorite Richard Bach book is STRANGER TO THE GROUND. I felt that I was seeing the author without the refinements of Donald Shimoda, or Leslie, or any other metaphor for metaphysics. read more
