For me, O'Donoghues Pub on Merrion Row. Returning forty plus years later it was and is amazing that much of the same spirit from the 60s is still there underneath the overlay of tourist trap. The one thing I tell anyone visiting Dublin for the first time to do is visit Kilmainham Gaol, now a museum. The feedback I have has been one of awe. read more

Dublin is one of the most walkable cities in Europe. Start in the north at Phoenix Park and head south to the River Liffey, cross the famous Ha'Penny Bridge and find your way to the medieval streets of Temple Bar. Pause for a pint before heading to the Trinity College campus. read more
