Marines get special training for what we call Sea Duty. That is being stationed or “Detached” to a ship. Marines on ships guard the Captain, his quarters, the bridge and man certain weapons. Best Answer: Marines deploy on ships and they are not stationed on them. Certain units will get sent on ships. You have no say in this. Your best chance to deploy on a ship is by being either AAV or infantry and then hope your unit gets sent on one. read more
