People do all sorts of work there. McMurdo, which is the largest base in Antarctica, is virtually a small town, along with all the jobs that go with a small town. I work at Scott Base where we have everything from helicopter pilots and mountaineers to cleaners and chefs (these two are the most important jobs!!). read more
