The most likely Indo-European languages spoken in Italy's north in the Copper Age would be paleo-Ligurian (a Celto-Iberian language), paleo-Gaulish (Celtic) and paleo-Venetian. However, Oetzi lived at a time before the Indo-Europeans migrated into Italy, so he is unlikely to have spoken these Celtic languages. read more
